Congressman Tim Johnson (R) visited Fairbury yesterday. hosting a town hall meeting with residents. Mid Central Community Action’s Director of Housing Development, Rick Barrera, attended the meeting to address the issue of the rising number of foreclosures in the area, and the time it takes to get loan modifications approved. Along with Rep. Shane Cultra (R), Johnson answered questions from the crowd of more than 30 people who attended the meeting.

This fundraising dinner also serves to recognize our Dreamweavers - our clients who have worked hard to achieve some of their life's dreams. We also honor community partners, volunteers and recognize staff years of service.

On Saturday, June 6, a tornado caused devastation in the town of Dwight, Illinois. Mid Central Community Action, Inc. is able to assist eligible displace residents with security deposits or first months rent. We can also assist with minor car repairs. MCCA employees from the Pontiac office have been hard at work in Dwight, assisting with the clean up effort.
