Next Step is a collaborative effort to help people become financially independent. Our collective experience with helping people has shown us that no matter what your situation, we can help you turn it around.
How do we do this? Next Step is a partnership betwen Mid Central Comunity Action, United Way of McLean County, Heartland Community College and the University of Illinois College of Law. This partnership means we have many resources to help you gain financial independence.
Why are we doing this? It’s our mission. MCCA was created nearly 50 years ago to help the people of our community overcome the effects of poverty, low income and unemployment. Heartland Community College inspires lives through accessible and personalized student support, exemplary innovation, and high expectations for success in teaching and learning.
Next Step is a free service.
With your commitment, together we can reach your financial goals.
No more being shuffled from place to place, Next Step has everything you need in two convenient locations — Mid Central Community Action in Bloomington and Heartland Community College in Normal.
You can trust Next Step. You will get new hope, reliable information, opportunities to learn, and support for your situation.
