The Illinois Housing Development Authority has awarded Mid Central Community Action, Inc. (MCCA) with funds to provide down payment and closing cost assistance to residents in McLean and Livingston Counties. The assistance is in the form of a five year forgivable loan. Applicants must meet HUD income eligibility requirements and qualify for a loan from a participating lender. Participating lenders and realtors are members of the Central Illinois Coalition for Affordable Housing.
Who is eligible?
Any individual who is qualified based on the general program guidelines and is a first time home buyer within McLean, Livingston, DeWitt or Woodford Counties.

Contribute $1000.00 to the purchase of the home
The property must be within McLean, Livingston, DeWitt or Woodford Counties
The first step is to contact a participating lender and set up an appointment to be pre-qualified or pre-approved for a loan. At that time, you need to let them know you are interested in information about the Affordable Housing Coalition.
The lender will give you information about the program and determine if you meet the income requirements. They will then prepare the required documents for the Coalition.
When you are ready to purchase a home, we suggest making an offer contingent upon the approval of down payment assistance from the Central Illinois Coalition for Affordable Housing.
