Mid Central Community Action, Inc’s HUD certified housing counselors meet with homeowners to help them create a budget, write a financial plan, and make contact with their lender. Staff will work with lending institutions to determine workout options and negotiate terms on behalf of homeowners facing foreclosure.
Prairie State Legal Services, in partnership with MCCA provides consultation, representation, and educational materials on foreclosure assistance. Eligibility is based on residence in McLean, Livingston, or Woodford Counties and income within federal poverty guidelines. To be income eligible family must have a household income below 200% of the federal poverty level or a senior over the age 60.
